  • Professionally performing musician and composer with an extensive international and national career.
  • Head of the Jazz/Pop department at MGK Zealand with 10 years of experience teaching, coordinating and administrating in the institutional area.
  • Permanent employments with the Danish Radio Big Band, at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and at the Royal academy of Music in Jutland.
  • Is currently working at MGK Zealand as head of the Jazz/Pop and Music Production department.
  • Is featured on 3 Jazz releases in 2019 and will soon release album #13 in his own name later this year.

Soloist and ensemble player at the Danish Radio Big band - 1997-2004

A prominent figure as soloist and ensemble player in a period of DR big band’s history where the orchestra was managed by Peter H. Larsen and had Jim McNeely as the chief conductor. A period of time influenced by extensive international and national touring and attention and where the orchestra once again was marked globally with Grammy nominations in US and international attention.


Assistent Professor at Rhythmic Music Conservatory - 2006-2015

Responsible for the brass department at RMC and a sought after teacher by all of the students at RMC to whom improvisation was an important part of their studies.

Had in the given period of time the responsibility for the education of more than 30 trompet players and trombone players and developed the new and current bachelors and master programmes at RMC in a small jury together with head master Henrik Sveidahl. Has been used as an exchange teacher by the conservatories in Riga, Berlin, Zurich, Malmø, Oslo, Tromsø and Tronheim.


Permanent teacher at Danish Royal Conservatory - 2006-2010

Permanent teacher teaching improvisation, arrangement, composition and trumpet at the Danish Royal Conservatory.

Music school teacher at Køge Music school - 2007-2011.

Teaching students in the ages fra 8-25 years, coordinating the talentschool and involved with the continuing education of the teachers at the school.


Head of Jazz/Pop and Music Production department at MGK Zealand from 2012

During the past 8 years he has been primary responsible for development, administration and the operating of the departements of Jazz/Pop and Music Production at MGK Zealand which currently counts more than 100 students in the age of 19-25, has its headquarters at Køge Music School and is running with a budget of €1 million per year, licensed by the Cultural Ministry in Denmark.

MGK Zealand has 3 departements: Classical music, Jazz/Pop music and Music Production. I am head of the Jazz/Pop department and Music Production which together counts for 90% of the pupils at MGK.

The organisation is based at Køge Music School and consists besides himself of principal Thomas Winther (former Head Master of the Royal Danish Conservatory in Jutland), Lene Simonsen and Pia Brinck coordinating the curriculum of the Classical department and 4 employees in the administration. The music school in Køge has more than 60 teachers and MGK Zealand has more than 30 teachers.

His work includes administration and economy, project management, developing curriculums, scheduling of lessons, organizing exams and entrance examinations, development and maintenance of teaching methods, and daily communication between students, teachers and the additional administration.

Additionally he has initiated a multiple range of externe projects in the region of MGK Zealand which involves the founding of several festivals, more than 100 concerts a year and cultural and musically collaborations in and between the cities of Vordingborg, Nakskov, Maribo, Næstved, Roskilde, Holbæk, Guldborgsund, Slagelse, Bornholm, Solrød and Ringsted, which all belongs to the region of Zealand.


Professional performing musician and composer

During the years he has released 14 albums as a leader and is featured on more than 100 albums as a co-musician. His own albums features among others Rob van Bavel, Marco Kegel, Jo Krause, Jim McNeely, Bernt Rosengren, Alex Riel, Doug Raney and Jesper Lundgaard.

He has toured and recorded with a long list of Scandinavian and international artist like Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Phil Woods, Benny Golson, John Ruocco, Lee Konitz, Pat Metheny, Maria Schneider, Rand Brecker, Tim Hagans, Frans Elsen, Eric Alexander, Jim McNeely, Renee Rosnes, Rob Van Bavel, Ferdinand Povel, Sam Yahel, Udo van Boven, Eric Doelmans, Kenny Werner, Dave Hazeltine, Jerry Bergonzi, Adam Nussbaum, Simon Rigter, Ack van Rooijen, Rik van der Berg, Kenny Drew, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, Fay Claassen, Rigmor Gustafsson, Jacob Karlzon, Lars Jansson, Eliane Elias, Dick Oatts, Graham Collier, Randy Brecker, Duke Jordan, Jim McNeely, Martial Solal, Toots Thielemans, Lars Jansson, Ivan Lins, and many many more.
